Last week, testers had the chance to try out the new MMORPG Blue Protocol. We summarize their opinions. There was also a major patch in New World, a new MMORPG, and a delay of Aion Classic.
The highlights of the week:
- The network test in Japan took place on the last weekend of March. There is praise for the depth, the graphics, and the combat system, but criticism for the heavy grind and often generic quests.
- With Perfect New World, a new MMORPG is launching its first tests in May on Steam. It will be the direct successor to Perfect World.
- Ashes of Creation has shared new details about the story and the upcoming Alpha 1.
The controversy of the week: Throne and Liberty sounds worse the more you hear about it. This time it was about autoplay and possible pay-to-win in skins.
The week in the podcast: In their own podcast MMO News, Alexander Leitsch and Mark Sellner are discussing the most important news around MMORPGs again this week. Topics included the test of Blue Protocol, the new information about Ashes of Creation, and the two upcoming games Aion Classic and Mad World.
