The first female collectible figure from Mega Construx is coming to Destiny 2.
For those who want to bring the Destiny universe into their living room, there are now plenty of options available. Various manufacturers keep releasing new action and collectible figures of all price ranges that make many Guardians’ hearts beat faster.
Mega Construx offers a wide range of Destiny products: They provide all sorts of customizable figures, weapons, and multi-part sets with vehicles and constructions. And yesterday they announced a world first: The first female Destiny action figure (see cover image)!
A Hunter from the Dead Orbit for your gaming corner
This Guardian comes with a stylish “Dead Orbit” outfit and an arsenal of weapons. The weapons and armor pieces can be removed and freely combined. An armor with the Queen’s symbols is also included for the Guardian, as you can see in this picture:
This Guardian is expected to be available from autumn.
McFarlane Toys also produces collectible figures for Destiny. Their brand manager Chris Council explained a few months ago why all their collectible figures are male. There is a simple reason for that: They sell better than female figures. Exceptions would be characters like Harley Quinn.
By releasing a female Guardian as an action figure, Mega Construx is taking a first, bold step in the realm of Destiny collectible figures.
Mega Construx is, by the way, the company responsible for the first major leaks for Destiny 2. For a short time, a set was publicly listed that mentioned an attack by the Cabal on the Tower. Lord Shaxx is supposed to be included as an action figure, wielding the sword Eraser. There has been material available for this set for some time:
