Details about the three new jobs in the fantasy MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV have been revealed.
In a live stream, there were new details about Heavensward, the next expansion:
- The three new classes will wear the following gear: The Dark Knight will use tank gear, the Astrologian will wear healer gear, and the Machinist will don bard gear.
- The Dark Knight will also receive a special mount, as will the Paladin and the Warrior. This is intended to make the tank classes more appealing.
- In the current level 50 instances, higher-level players will be scaled down to 50.
- The three new jobs will not receive Zodiac weapons, but they will get Primal weapons.
- The retainers will have a larger inventory.
- Heavensward will introduce a new attraction to the Gold Saucer and bring 20 new Triple Triad cards.
- The first major patch for Heavensward will include a new 24-player raid.
- Chocobo Buddies will have a higher level cap than 20.
- There are no plans for Final Fantasy XIV to switch to DX12, as DX11 will also be supported with Heavensward.
