Final Fantasy 14 Stormblood is coming in a few weeks and to get you in the mood, there is a typically bombastic launch trailer. The film shows over 5 minutes of the imperial invasion of the east and the tragic struggle for freedom by the rebels.
A new addon Stormblood for Final Fantasy XIV is coming soon. With it, the already epic story will become even more epic, and even storylines that began in the original game seven years ago are supposed to find their conclusion here.
To sweeten the time until the launch on June 20, the developers at Square Enix have put together a launch trailer.
Final Fantasy XIV Stormblood – Epic trailer full of tragedy and hope
Stormblood takes you to the far east of Eorzea, to the city-state of Ala Mhigo and the land of the samurai, Doma. There, the empire has been ruling for 20 years and is exercising a terrible reign of terror.
In the trailer, you can witness the invasion of the imperial troops and their cruel commander Zenos yae Galvus, and later you will witness the resistance struggle of the rebels, whom you will support in the upcoming Stormblood story.
Stormblood – Key features and Early Access
Besides the epic new story, Stormblood also offers a slew of other cool features:
- The maximum level rises to 70
- There are two new classes, the Red Mage and the Samurai
- The UI is completely redesigned
- Many unnecessarily complex structures in gameplay will become more accessible
- New regions with Asian flair including the beautiful capital Kugane
- New dungeons
- A new raid with boss Susano
- Walkable underwater regions
- New gear and crafting recipes
To play Stormblood, you must first complete the base game and the first addon Heavensward. If you don’t like that, you can skip these contents for real money or boost your hero to the current maximum level.
Stormblood releases on June 20, pre-order customers will receive early access starting on June 16.
