Square Enix releases the first trailer for the new expansion “Shadowbringers” of Final Fantasy XIV. The continuation of the MMORPG story looks dark.
The fight against the Garlean Empire enters its final round. Players gather the nations they have freed from the influence of the Empire.
In the “Shadowbringers” expansion, the Ascians will also take center stage. Players will finally learn who the main opponents in FFXIV really are and why they want to resurrect the dark god Zodiark.
Director Yoshida stated that the truth about the world of FFXIV will finally come to light. The expansion is scheduled to arrive in early summer 2019.
