The long-awaited crossover event between Final Fantasy XIV and Final Fantasy XV is live. However, there seems to be a bug that disconnects players from the game.
Update: The issue has been fixed.
Players who lost the connection will be returned directly to the quest cutscene upon logging in. You will not lose any progress.
What does the bug do? During the event, players must complete a longer quest line to obtain the rewards. However, after completing a certain part of the quest, it may result in a loss of connection to the game server.
It is a bug that affects a large portion of the players. However, there are also people who were able to bypass the bug.

What happens with the bug? Players end up in an endless loop of 90002 errors. Restarting the client unfortunately does not help. Logging in with other characters is also not possible because the game still recognizes the first character as logged in.
Square Enix is already working on a fix, and the quest line has been temporarily disabled. We will update the article as soon as more information is available.
How to get the event rewards: Players who complete the event will receive cool items as rewards.
So there are a total of:
- Outfit from the character Noctis: Available as a reward from the event quests
- Noctis’s hairstyle: Purchase for 20,000 MGP in Gold Saucer
- Triple-Triad card from Noctis: Purchase for 10,000 MGP in Gold Saucer
- 4-person mount Regalia: Purchase for 200,000 MGP in Gold Saucer
- 6 different sheet music with music from Final Fantasy XV: exchange with Garlond employees in Limsa Lominsa Upper Decks (X: 11 / Y: 13), Ul’Dah Thal’s Crossroads (X: 13 / Y: 9), and Old Gridania (X: 9 / Y: 8) for unidentified Magitech parts
Note that the Garlond NPC in Gold Saucer offers the rewards only after completing the event quests.
The event ends on May 27.
