Attention all marriage enthusiasts out there: The latest patch for Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn allows you to enter into the Eternal Bond of marriage. Additionally, significant balancing adjustments will be made.
The eagerly awaited feature “Eternal Bond” lets you step before the altar with the beloved of your choice. The Eternal Bond is a unique rite in which two soulmates pledge eternal loyalty to each other. As part of the celebrations, both will receive special rewards.
Different Ceremony Plans
Your dream wedding will not be planned by a wedding planner named Frank, but you have the option to choose from three different ceremonies . Once a decision is made, the ceremony can be ordered through the Moogle Station. Here is an overview:
- Standard Plan
The simplest plan. During the special quest, the character receives their festive clothing, creates the ring for their partner, and acquires a particularly heartfelt emote.
- Gold Plan
In addition to the Standard Plan, Gold Plan holders receive dyeable festive clothing and a new hairstyle. They can also change the colors of the carpet and flowers in the event hall and choose different video sequences for their entrance and exit.
- Platinum Plan
In addition to the Standard Plan and Gold Plan, Platinum Plan holders receive two-tone dyeable festive clothing and can choose from more colors for the carpet and flowers in the event hall. They also receive a special mount and other bonus items.
Even though the story of Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn takes place in a distant epoch, the developers have long arrived in the 21st century. Thus, from now on, same-sex couples can also tie the knot.
Class Changes
Amid all the wedding hustle, the latest patch also brings some class changes. For instance, the Pugilist job Dragoon receives an increased value in magical defense so that it won’t fall over as quickly in endgame content, while the Rogue job Ninja gets a slight damage reduction.
