With Patch 5.5 of Final Fantasy XIV, a number of new mounts and other cosmetic items were introduced to the game. We will show you how to obtain these stylish items.
This guide is still under construction. Players have not yet discovered all locations of the new items, so we will update the guide as soon as there is new information or official English names for the items.
Mounts
- Name: Golden Water Serpent
- Location: In Eulmore (x: 10 / y: 11.2) on the top floor of Tabeth – buy for 25,000,000 Gil
- Name: Gold Mikoshi
- Location: Mor Dhona (X: 22.1 / Y: 4.9) from Edelina – buy for 50,000,000 Gil
- Name: Diamond Gwiber
- Location: Random drop from a chest in the content Diamond Blitz – Trauma
- Name: Mechamander
- Name of the Start Quest: ‘Dragon of Fire and Iron’
- Quest NPC: Garlond Model Maker
- Location: The Fenn (X: 11.5 / Y: 22.5)
- Requirements: Ownership of the mounts ‘Pixie Gwiber’, ‘Innocence Gwiber’, ‘Shadow Gwiber’, ‘Ruby Gwiber’, ‘Gwiber of Light’, ‘Emerald Gwiber’ and ‘Diamond Gwiber’.

- Location: Exchange in Ishgard (Firmament) for 30 Fete Tokens. Note that the celebration for the reconstruction of Ishgard starts on April 15.

- Location: Buy from Anie (Ishgard, Firmament X: 12 / Y: 14) – for 8,400 tokens

Cosmetic Items

- Location: Crafted by a Level 80 Weaver and Tanner from new materials Overture Cloth, Gardenia Dyed Cloth, and Thylacoleo Leather. The Overture Cloth is a random drop in the treasure map dungeon Lyhe Ghiah
New primal weapons for Byakko and Hades for most combat jobs are now available as crafter recipes. They use the special drops from the respective EX trials of Byakko and Hades and can also be purchased at the market board.
Additionally, a number of other cosmetic items have been found in the game code. However, they are not yet available, which is why we do not include them in this list.
