Final Fantasy XIV: Here’s how you can immediately start with the new quests in 4.3

The new content patch 4.3 of Final Fantasy XIV is arriving on May 22nd. To help pass the time before the patch more quickly, you can prepare yourself with the help of this list.

We have compiled the known locations of the new quests, raids, and dungeons for you. In particular, some side quests have complicated requirements that must be fulfilled before the new 4.3 content can be unlocked.

This article will be updated as new information becomes available.

Continuation of the Main Scenario

• Location: Kugane, Trading House Meeting Room (X: 6.0 / Y: 6.1)
• NPC: Alphinaud
• Quest Name: Change of Senses
• Requirements: Completion of the quest “Rise of a New Sun”

New Secret Trial (Extreme)

• Location: Kugane (X: 11.6 / Y: 12.6)
• NPC: Traveling Bard
• Quest Name: ???
• Requirements: Item Level 350 or higher. Completion of the normal version of the trial.  

Instanced Content

Return to Ivalice

• Location: Kugane (X: 10.3 / Y: 12.0)
• NPC: Lina Mewrilah
• Quest Name: An Uninvited Guest
• Requirements: Completion of the side quest “The Royal City of Rabanastre”

Dungeon “Swallow’s Compass”

• Location: Ruby Sea (X: 27-8 / Y: 16.4)
• NPC: Bunchin
• Quest Name: Age Does Not Protect Against Folly
• Requirements: Completion of the side quest “The Inner Demon”, Item Level of 330 or higher.

Special Side Quests

Reconstruction of Doma

• Location: Doman Enclave (X: 5.5 / Y: 5.7)
• NPC: Kozakura
• Quest Name: Your Trash, Our Future

The following requirements must be met:

• Completion of the main scenario quest “The Long Arm of the Past”.
• Completion of the side quest “Call from Home” from NPC Kozakura in the Doman Enclave (X: 5.5 / Y: 5.7).
• Completion of the side quest “Every Farewell is Hard” from NPC Hozan in Mor Dhona (X: 22.7 / Y: 7.0)

Delivery Orders for Kurenai

• Location: Kugane (X: 10.1 / Y: 9.9)
• NPC: Kojin Laborer
• Quest Name: “Sui no Sato in Transition”
• Follow-up Quest: “Prosperity in Trade”

The following requirements must be met:

• Collector or Crafter at level 62
• Completion of the side quest “Gathering for a Good Cause” from Galiena in Rhalgr’s Reach (X: 9.8 / Y: 12.5)
• Completion of the side quest “A Princess in Distress” from Kurenai in Ruby Sea (X: 20.2 / Y: 20.2)
• Completion of the side quest line starting with the quest “The Secret of the Ruby Princess” from Kurenai in Ruby Sea (X; 20.2 / Y: 20.2)
• All follow-up quests of the quest line are also given by Kurenai in Ruby Sea (X; 20.2 / Y: 20.2) up to the last one named “Hisui and Kurenai”.

Wild Tribe of Namazuo

• Location: Azim Steppe (X: 17.4 / Y: 37.5)
• NPC: Twitching Namazuo
• Quest Name: A Question of Fate

The following requirements must be met:

• Collector or Crafter at level 60
• Completion of the main scenario quest “Hopeful Morning Sky” from Hien in Azim Steppe (X: 31.4 / Y: 11.3)
• Completion of the quest “Weapons for Namai” from Kurobana in Yanxia (X: 29.3 / Y: 17.5)

The quest “Weapons for Namai”, which unlocks the tribe, also requires the completion of two different quest lines first.

Part 1:

• Completion of the quest line starting with the quest “A Sheep in Wolf’s Clothing” from Fukudo in Yanxia (X: 30.9 / Y: 17.8) to unlock “Weapons for Namai”.
• All follow-up quests of this line are also given by Fukudo in Yanxia (X: 30.9 / Y: 17.8).

Part 2: 

• Completion of the quest “The Beauty of the Flowers” from Ochimi in Yanxia (X: 30.4 / Y: 18.4) to unlock the quest line of “Little Merchant, Big Dreams”.
• Completion of the quest line starting with the quest “Little Merchant, Big Dreams” from Gyorin in Yanxia (X: 15.5 / Y: 32.3) to unlock “Weapons for Namai”.
• All follow-up quests of this line are also given by Gyorin in Yanxia (X: 16.7 / Y: 31.2).
• Completion of the quest “A Fatal Misunderstanding” from Gyoshu in Yanxia (X: 15.0 / Y: 31.7) to unlock “Weapons for Namai”.
