The fantasy MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV has unveiled its plans for the upcoming patches 3.3 and 3.4.
There was a live letter from Naoki Yoshida, the mastermind behind Final Fantasy XIV. In these live letters, Yoshida always reveals the big and small plans for the coming months. Currently, Final Fantasy XIV is in patch 3.2. In Yoshida’s explanations, it mainly concerns patches 3.3 and 3.4 – that should be enough until the end of summer. The content patches of FF14 always contain a full program for the various types of players – what exactly comes in terms of quests, side quests, and raids is usually detailed again in the time before the patch is officially presented.
Patch 3.25 will be released on March 29. The interim patch is mainly about the new PvP mode “The Feast,” which is supposed to reduce waiting times and lead to fairer matches.
Many improvements in the foreseeable future will focus on player comfort. We summarize the letter in key points:
- Healers are supposed to hit enemies more easily in dungeons.
- The “parry” value will be addressed in patch 3.4 or in 4.0.

Party Finder is planned
- They are working on a party finder that is supposed to come in patch 3.3. A cross-server group finder is planned for the time afterwards.
- With 3.3, the next Void Ark raid will come.
- Patches 3.25 and 3.3 will provide new development levels for the Anima weapons.
- Patch 3.3 will increase the item cap for crafters and gatherers.
- From patch 3.4 onwards, they want to regularly bring new Hildibrand side quests.
Switch classes, automatically equip the best gear
They are also working on a feature that allows players to equip the best gear for their current class.
With patch 3.3, it should also be possible for players to save three different UI layouts.
