Final Fantasy 16 has pre-order bonuses that can only be obtained by players who pre-ordered digitally or physically before the release. We will show you how to redeem these bonuses and what you will receive for it.
What do I get as a pre-order bonus? If you pre-ordered Final Fantasy 16, you can look forward to a total of three digital items that you can collect in the game from a certain point. Here are the items you can expect:

- The “Warrior’s Heart” sword
- The Cait Sith Talisman
- The Reading Gloves (only digital editions)
We will now show you how to redeem the items and then obtain them in the game.
FF16: Redeem and collect pre-order bonus – Here’s how
How do I activate the physical pre-order bonus? If you pre-ordered FF16 physically at a retailer, you will receive a code. You will either get this via email or in the box that contains your disc. You then take this code and enter it as follows:
- Switch your tab to the “PlayStation Store”
- Now go to the three dots next to the shopping cart symbol
- Now activate the dots and select “Redeem Code”
- Now enter your code from the email or box
Now confirm your action and activate the code for your account.
How do I activate the digital pre-order bonus? If you purchased the digital version in the PlayStation Store, you don’t need to do anything. The system recognizes that this is a pre-order and credits you the bonuses for free.
How do I collect my pre-order bonus? To be able to collect the items, you need to reach the mission “A Chance Encounter.” That takes about two hours of gameplay. If you have reached the right point in the story, a window will appear indicating that you can now collect your items.
To do this, go to the menu and switch the tab to “System.” A smaller menu will open that you can navigate with R1 or L1. Then switch this tab to the treasure chest icon. Now you can see all your bonuses and collect them.
That’s it for collecting the items. How do you find FF16 so far? Is it as dark and exciting as you imagined, or do you not like it at all? Let us know in the comments!
