The players of Red Dead Online meet for fight clubs. They hit each other in the face, but try to obey clear rules. And if someone steps out of line, they get shot.
As reported by Gamesradar, there is a movement in Red Dead Redemption 2 known as “Fight Club”. Players meet to beat each other up according to certain rules.
Where does the idea come from? The idea for a fight club originated from the novel of the same name by Chuck Palahniuk, which was prominently adapted into a film in 1999 starring Brad Pitt and Edward Norton. This led to its incorporation into popular culture.
Fight clubs frequently appear in Rockstar’s games; in Red Dead Redemption 2, a player stumbles upon a horde of criminals meeting in an improvised arena for fistfights.
This is how players recreate the Fight Club: In Red Dead Online, fight clubs have evolved rapidly since the beta launched just two weeks ago. Initially, there were more random fistfights, in which a gun was occasionally drawn (via reddit).
However, in recent days, a genuine “Fight Club” culture has been emerging on the Internet forum Reddit. Players are posting their experiences and urging Rockstar to officially bring such a mode to Red Dead Online.
In this video, there are rules such as “No tackling,” which are promptly ignored.
The rules of a Fight Club: A Fight Club has even established eight rules (via reddit):
- No tonics or enhancements
- Only two people fight at a time
- A referee starts the match with two gunshots in the air
- Wave to an opponent to challenge them to a fight
- No shirts (for men)
- No weapons – even though there are some nice guns in Red Dead Redemption 2
- You can use all melee techniques you want. But the first attack must be a regular punch.

Some have even appointed bouncers to enforce their rules. And those who do not adhere to these rules might just get shot.
One thing, however, distinguishes the Fight Club in Red Dead Redemption 2 from the original. In the movie, Tyler Durden said: “You do not talk about Fight Club.” In Red Dead Redemption 2, many seem to be talking about the so-called secret club at the moment.
