A French reporter has simulated the upcoming World Cup 10 times using FIFA 23. Which team is most likely to become the world champion according to the simulations? You can find out here.
What is this simulation? In the new World Cup mode of FIFA 23, there is the option to play the complete World Cup either online or offline against the AI.
But instead of playing yourself, you can have FIFA 23 simply simulate the matches (in offline mode). To do this, you just start the tournament with any nation, click on “Play Match,” and then select “Simulate.” Now the game calculates a winner and displays it along with the result after a short time.
You then repeat this for each individual game until the final. And just like that, you’ve simulated the entire World Cup. This is exactly what French journalist Warial from Jeuxvideo did. He had the AI simulate the World Cup 10 times.
The results of the simulations name a clear world champion
Here’s how the simulations from Jeuxvideo went: In the 10 World Cups simulated by the reporter, there are no major surprises among the favorites. Brazil, France, and Spain each win the simulated tournaments twice. However, Argentina wins the most frequently with 3 simulated World Cup victories.

Is the prediction realistic? A World Cup title for Argentina is generally not unrealistic, as the South Americans definitely enter the tournament as favorites. They recently won the Copa América and have an extremely strong squad.
Moreover, Lionel Messi should be highly motivated, as it is probably his last chance at a World Cup title.
Where is Germany? In the 10 simulations by Warial, Germany did not achieve a single victory. However, it should be noted that at the time of the simulations, the final World Cup squads were not yet represented in the game. For Brazil, Argentina, and France, this shouldn’t make such a big difference.
However, if Germany had already integrated Double-POTM Füllkrug and Moukoko, the results might look quite different.
That FIFA simulations can be quite realistic is proven by EA Sports itself.
