A big leak around FIFA 23 also revealed the ratings of some teams. Players shared the values of FC Bayern. How strong will the German record champions be?
What was that leak about? On Tuesday, August 30, FIFA 23 was briefly accessible to some players on Xbox.
In this context, some content from the game was shared online – including various ratings of top players.
In the Bundesliga, it looks like FC Bayern Munich will once again be the strongest team. This isn’t surprising, as the club has virtually monopolized the championship in recent years and has also acquired exciting players again this year.
However, some of the leaked values are surprising.
On social media platforms like Twitter and Reddit, some users have already shared screenshots of the Bayern values, such as “FC Bayern München News” here (via Twitter):
FIFA 23: Sabitzer the big loser, Musiala the winner in the ratings for Bayern
According to the leaks, the following overall ratings emerge:
- Neuer 90
- Kimmich 89
- Mané 89
- Goretzka 87
- Müller 87
- Coman 86
- Gnabry 85
- De Ligt 85
- Hernández 84
- Sané 84
- Davies 84
- Mazraoui 82
- Upamecano 81
- Musiala 81
- Sabitzer 80
- Pavard 79
- Gravenberch 79
- Ulreich 75
- Choupo-Moting 75
- Zirkzee 73
Looking at these ratings, the first thing that stands out is: Apparently, FC Bayern Munich hardly receives any notable upgrades compared to last year. Players like Neuer, Kimmich, Goretzka, and Müller all have the same overall rating. Even new signing Mané remains unchanged in the overall rating.
Marcel Sabitzer even receives a four-point deduction compared to last year, and Upamecano is also one point weaker.
The biggest jump is made by Musiala with an improvement from 75 to 81. That is quite remarkable. In addition, Alphonso Davies receives two overall points more, while Hernández increases by one. New signing Mazraoui is also two points stronger than when he was at Ajax.
Will players become slower in FIFA 23?
Another point to note: It is quite astonishing that concerning speed, some pace seems to be taken away. Looking at the speed values, you can see: Something is being deducted here.
A few examples:
- Kimmich’s speed goes from 70 to 68
- Mané 91 > 90
- Goretzka 81 > 78
- Gnabry 83 > 82
- Müller actually becomes a bit faster – from 67 to 69
- Coman 93 > 92
- Sabitzer 78 > 72
- Sané 90 > 88
Even Alphonso Davies declines despite his overall upgrade from 96 speed to 94.
It stands out: Overall, the speed values seem to be slightly changed downwards. It remains to be seen whether this will be reflected throughout the entire game and whether the pace will generally be reduced at launch.
How final are the ratings? It is generally conceivable that EA will adjust the ratings a bit before the release. The leak surfaced a month before the launch – and EA stated on Twitter that not all content from the accidentally released game build is final.
Whether this also applies to the ratings is still not entirely clear. One thing is certain, however, that these are no longer the current values from FIFA 22.
