EA has released the new Live Tuning Update 2 for FIFA 22, which adjusts the speed of various shots. Here you will find out what changes.
What are Live Tuning Updates? With the new Live Tuning Updates, which were introduced recently, EA can make changes to FIFA 22’s gameplay without rolling out a proper Title Update. This way, EA Sports can address gameplay issues faster and more frequently.
We will show you what changes with the second LTU (Live Tuning Update).
When does the update come? The new LTU is now available for FIFA 22 on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC (Origin/Steam), and Stadia. When you start FIFA 22, you should see a notification about the new update.
EA advises closing FIFA 22 and restarting it once the notification about Live Update 2 appears in the game. This is to ensure that the update is installed.
What changes with Live Tuning Update 2
With the release of the new Live Update, EA has published Patch Notes that describe changes to finesse shots as well as D-Pad tactics.
Regarding finesse shots, it is stated:
- The speed of the ball for finesse shots inside and outside the penalty area has been increased.
- Within the penalty area, this applies to finesse shots that are up to 11.5 meters from the goal.
- From a distance of 11.6 to 19.8 meters, the ball’s speed is also increased, but slightly less.
With this, you should now have more opportunities to finish in the penalty area and can direct the ball more precisely into the goal. However, in addition to finesse shots, the speed of normal ground passes should also become slightly faster.
What changes with D-Pad tactics:
- When a D-Pad tactic is set, it now lasts for 20 seconds. Previously, it was 15 seconds. The time is counted only when the team with the set tactic is not in possession of the ball.
- The cooldown for D-Pad tactics has been reduced from 120 seconds to 100 seconds.
