An overview of the changes in FUT 20: EA Sports presented the new features on July 31st that you will encounter in the upcoming FUT season. They include:
- Season Tasks
- FUT Friendlies
- New customization options
- New team management
- Squad Battles improvements
The new season tasks in FUT 20

What to expect: In FUT 20, there will be a revamped task system and completely new season tasks. You will receive additional, time-limited tasks. They are meant to be more complex and rewarding than previous goals – and they are spread throughout the year.
- Throughout a season, you can master several tasks to earn XP
- Advance in the season level with XP to unlock better rewards:
These are the season rewards: Players, packs, and new club customization options. In the first season, there will be 30 levels. Each level offers a reward or a choice between bonuses.
These are the tasks in FUT 20:
- Daily tasks: Simple tasks released every day that contribute XP to your season rewards.
- Weekly tasks: Group tasks with rewards and XP gains.
- Season tasks: Long-term challenges. Available until the end of a season.
- Dynamic tasks: Special, time-limited goals that do not have a regular release period. They can be tied to events in the real world.
- Furthermore, there are Milestone tasks. These are long-term tasks not tied to any season, and you will need some time to complete them. Examples include “Complete 100 finesse shots, header goals, volleys, and chip shots each.” The reward is, for example, a ball in 16-bit style:
How long does a season last in FUT 20? According to EA, the first season starts on September 19th and ends at the end of October.
FUT Friendlies get more modes
What to expect: The House Rules mode from Kick Off will be integrated into FUT Friendlies. This allows you to play Survival or “No Rules” – fun modes that were introduced in FIFA 19. Additionally, there are more fun modes, such as:
You can play FUT Friendlies in couch mode with up to 4 players or online against a friend. Additionally, House Rules can also be played online against random players.
New icons in FIFA 20 Ultimate Team
What’s new: There will be several new icons, one of which was announced during the FUT reveal was Carlos Alberto.

The additional features and changes in Ultimate Team
What’s also new:
- The team management is supposed to run more seamlessly. The squad screen for FUT 20 has been redesigned so you can quickly access your active squad, the transfer market, and club contents from one place:
- You have significantly more customization options – such as stadiums, fans, goal celebrations, unique balls, and new logos:
- The squad battles are being updated. You can now play 40 games per week at any time. The previous, time-limited refreshes will be removed. You can read all info about the new squad battles here.
- OTW – the Ones to Watch – are also returning with a new design.

What about FUT Draft in FIFA 20?
This information is about FUT Draft: As EA’s Corey Andress confirmed, the Draft Mode returns in FIFA 20. No new features have been revealed for this mode.
In Draft mode, you build a team by selecting a player for each position from five random players. You should maintain the balance between player quality and team chemistry. Now try to win as many games as possible with this team to continuously receive better rewards.

The new card design in FIFA 20 Ultimate Team
