The new event “Pre-Season” in FIFA 20 is starting. In fact, players can earn rewards for FIFA 21 – even though the rewards for FIFA 20 are initially significantly larger.
This is what the Pre-Season for FIFA 21 brings: As EA announced, players can earn their first rewards for FIFA 21 in this event. These include
- Packs
- Consumables
- Loan Players
- Cosmetics
From Objectives and SBCs, players can obtain the following items for the successor in the first two and a half weeks of the event:
- 2 Coin Boosts (500 extra coins for 5 matches)
- FUT 20 Icon Home Jersey
- FUT 20 Future Stars Jersey
- Anchor Chemistry Style
- Engine Chemistry Style
Are the rewards worth it? This first set consists mainly of smaller rewards. They do not provide the opportunity to secure strong cards for FUT 21 that some fans hoped for.
In the official announcement, EA Sports stated that more rewards will be added in the future. Here, you might hope for a bit more – but you shouldn’t expect too powerful rewards for FUT 21.
For FUT 20, however, it looks different.
Pre-Season brings powerful cards for FIFA 20 – with TOTY
This content is coming: Just like “Summer Heat”, the Pre-Season also brings a “Best of” in the packs. Included are among others TOTY– and TOTSSF cards, which are some of the most powerful items in the game.
Additionally, the Champions and Europa League return. In this context, there are again boosts for the RTTF cards. All cards from the teams still in the competition will receive a boost of 3 overall points.
Furthermore, new RTTF cards will be added in the form of SBCs and Weekly Objectives.

There will also be Champions League Showdowns. They work like the Summer Heat Showdowns: When a Champions League match is happening in real life, there will be a corresponding SBC featuring one player from each team. The winner receives a permanent +3 boost.
New are the “Top Transfers”. Here, selected players receive a special card as they have switched clubs. Players already hoped for a Timo Werner card for Chelsea or Leroy Sané at FC Bayern.
What about the Weekend League? The Weekend League is also worth participating in during the event. Throughout the Pre-Season, the Weekend League Rewards will be enhanced by TOTSSF cards. This makes participation in the FUT Champions worthwhile again.
