In FIFA 20 sometimes some pretty crazy goals happen. A player scored a fantastic long-range shot – even though he didn’t intend to shoot.
This is the goal in question: On Reddit, user Totogia shared a long shot that is quite impressive. Using the Shapeshifters card of David Alaba, a center-back, he hit the ball beautifully under the crossbar – almost from the halfway line.
As if that wasn’t strange enough, it turns out: Totogia didn’t actually intend to shoot. “Yes, I pressed the wrong button,” he admits. Whether he wanted to pass the ball or defend with the circle button remains unclear. But one thing is for sure: he must be quite satisfied with the result. Because the admittedly somewhat unrealistic goal is quite impressive:
Fans celebrate the goal
This is how other players react: Many players comment on Reddit, saying they really like the goal. After all, long shots aren’t necessarily the first choice when trying to score in FIFA 20. Maybe we should try shooting from the halfway line more often with center-backs – seems to work!
- “Looks like we have a new meta,” jokes user Pillow_Holder.
- “This is the best long-range goal I’ve ever seen. Most in this subreddit are slow rollers or glitching goalkeepers. This is a damn bullseye,” says user KonstipatedMule.
- “FIFA is the only game I know where you can press the wrong button and still be successful. In other games, it may happen sometimes and it’s a huge stroke of luck, but in FIFA, it happens regularly,” comments user Driblus.
An unusual goal indeed. Also an unusual story: The streamer Diogo Pé shows how to successfully play FIFA 20 without hands.
