In FIFA 19 there is a new fun mode where many rules are set aside. This is “No Rules” in the new Kick-off.
A mode full of variety: Among the biggest innovations in FIFA 19 is the new Kick-off mode. In this mode, you can play all kinds of different matches with self-chosen rules against the computer or your friends, with the “No Rules” option in Kick-off surely being one of the most exciting.

How do I start No Rules? In the new Kick-off, you first select the “House Rules” mode. There you will find several settings with which you can modify your gaming experience. Select “No Rules” here.
The survival mode, which was much speculated about, is also selectable in these “House Rules”:
What is special about “No Rules”? There is no offside, there are no fouls, and there are no cards. In other words, in this mode, the referee is practically blind.
This means you can let loose as you please. You can take out your opponents mercilessly without being sent off, and pass to teammates who are 10 meters offside.
The one who scores the most goals wins. The goals are counted by the referee, who does not take the rules too seriously.
Pure chaos or fun alternative?
Tom says: At a Kick-off event, I was able to play a match in the “No Rules” mode – and I must say, I had a wicked joy in brutally tackling the opponents non-stop. From behind, from the side – I jumped into the ball from everywhere, without any regard for whether a rival ankle was in the way.
The lifted offside rule took some getting used to, and I kept forgetting it, as it’s become second nature not to pass to an offside teammate.
However, despite these “No Rules”, there is no unpleasant chaos on the field. Primarily, tackling happens much more frequently than usual, but you can still see that football is being played.
This new mode in FIFA 19 is definitely fun. I can well imagine playing this more often with friends on the couch. And more often saying: “Look how beautifully your player is flying!” Because the collisions look really great in FIFA 19.
However, “serious” playing is not possible. No Rules is not suitable for determining the better FIFA player. It’s a fun mode that brings a fresh wind into virtual football.
What do you think of the “No Rules” mode?
