Tips for the FIFA 19 Squad Building Challenges: With this method, you can complete any league SBC, earn coins in the process, and get special player cards.
These are League SBCs: The Squad Building Challenges themed around leagues, also called “League SBCs”, require quite a bit from you: Depending on which league SBC you choose, you need to exchange a squad for each team in the league.
In the case of the Bundesliga, that means a total of 18 squads, while the Premier League requires 20. The Scottish Premiership, however, only needs 12 squads to complete. Throughout the year, new league SBCs are released regularly.
These are the rewards: Solving the challenges can be worthwhile: As a group reward for each league SBC, you receive a player pick. This means you can choose one of two special cards from the league at the end of the challenge. In the Bundesliga, for example, you can choose between Serge Gnabry and Daniel Caligiuri.
Exciting rewards in other leagues: Other leagues offer, for example, an 87-rated Dzeko (Serie A), 87-rated Thauvin (Ligue 1), 85-rated Rooney (MLS), or 84-rated Podolski (J1 League) – so it pays to look beyond your own league. Furthermore, for each individual task within the SBCs, you will receive packs or coin rewards. Check here which league interests you most and which players you can use best.
This is how you complete every league SBC
League SBCs in five steps: On reddit, the user “ImADuckQuakk”, who is also known as a FIFA YouTuber, has developed a basic method for how you can successfully complete any league SBC and earn coins along the way. This is based on the sniping approach, which you can also find in our trading tips.
Step 1: Choose a league. Decide which league SBC you want to do before you start trading on the transfer market. Then switch to the transfer market – this is possible not only on console but also via web app or companion app. In our example, we chose the MLS. A total of 23 clubs must be exchanged here.
Step 2: Set up search filters. Now it’s time to set the right filters for sniping. Since you want to spend as few coins as possible, the players need to be bought at the cheapest price. Set the following filters:
- League: Your chosen league (in our case MLS)
- Rarity: Silver
- Buy Now Price: 300
Caution: These filters do not work the same in every league. In larger leagues like the Bundesliga or the Premier League, you should set the rarity to Gold and the Buy Now Price to around 400 coins, as the challenges have higher requirements. If you are not suggested too few players, set the Buy Now Price a bit higher.
Step 3: Get them all! Now buy every player that is displayed to you via Buy Now. Since you have to complete SBCs for all the clubs anyway, it doesn’t matter which player from the league you get. This may require some practice: At first, other players will snap up the cheap cards before you. Don’t let that discourage you: Practice makes perfect.
The key is to get the cards at the cheapest price. Then, duplicates, i.e., players bought in duplicates, are not a problem: these are the players with whom you later earn your money. Now repeat Steps 2 and 3 as often as necessary until you have a whole bunch of players.
Tip: Are you only being offered goalkeepers? Set the chemistry style in the search filters to “Basic” – now all goalkeepers will be filtered out of the search results.
Step 4: Organize and sell. Now you should have a club full of players from your chosen league. It’s time to organize: Move all the players that you don’t have duplicates of to your club – you need these to complete the SBC.
Put all duplicates back on the transfer market. Set a slightly higher price: Since you sniped the player at the lowest price, you should be able to sell them for a profit. It’s all about the volume: The more players you resell, the more profit you make. Another good measure to earn coins is smart trading with the TOTW.
Step 5: Buy the missing players. After you have set your players in the league SBC, some will still be missing. You can now buy the missing players with the money you earned from the sales and complete the challenges. With a little luck, you’ll pull good cards from the reward packs and can sell them for a good price as well. Repeat this for all league SBCs that interest you.
Things to keep in mind
Time-intensive method: Sniping and the profitable sale of players require a lot of patience and, above all, time. Sniping in particular can be frustrating when other players snap up the cheap players right in front of you or there are simply no promising players available. Try again at a different time if nothing is working out.
Furthermore, the general rule is: The stronger the league, the longer it takes to finish the SBC. Also, the stronger leagues are, logically, more expensive.
Market ban possible: There have been instances where sniping players get temporarily banned from the market because they bid on too many players. The game then suspects a bot. So there’s a small risk of being banned for a short time – but this didn’t happen with the method described here.
