Information about Squad Battles in FUT 19
In the community, Squad Battles are referred to as “Offline FUT Champions“, as both modes are similarly structured: You play as many matches as possible, show good performances, and therefore rise in a leaderboard. Depending on your rank, there are rewards.
In contrast to FUT Champions and the Weekend League
- you do not need to qualify for Squad Battles,
- the matches are spread more evenly throughout the week
- and the prizes are somewhat lower.
However: Squad Battles are the most lucrative single-player mode in FUT 19.
What do I need to do to earn Battle Points? How do I climb the leaderboard?
Your rank in the Squad Battles leaderboard is determined by the number of Battle Points you earn. You earn Battle Points by playing matches in Squad Battles.
You have two options to play matches:
- Featured Team: This team was created by a football player, a professional FIFA player, or another star. This team is available for one week.
- Opponent Selection Teams: Every day you can challenge four new teams. It might be that you and your friends see different teams.

Once you’ve played against all available teams, you must wait until the next opponent update. Since only four new opponent teams are provided (almost) every day, you should play these four matches each day if you want to maximize your points.
If you miss a day, you can catch up on these four matches the next day and then press “Opponent Update” to receive the new four opponent teams. If you miss multiple opponent updates, you cannot catch them up anymore. Only one “turn” can be replayed.
Important information about the leaderboard: Keep in mind that it is a dynamic leaderboard. It is based on the results of all players. This means your rank can change throughout the week without you being active online. For example: If you play a lot at the beginning of the week and hold a high rank but are not online at the end of the week, other players may surpass you. You will then drop in rank. You can view your rank at any time under “Your Rank”.

How are Battle Points calculated?
To collect as many Battle Points as possible within the Squad Battle week, you need to maximize the points from each match. Here’s how the Battle Points per match are calculated:
Battle Points per match = Difficulty Bonus x (Match Completion + Game Result + Skill Bonus) + Goal Bonus
How each variable is determined
Difficulty Bonus:
Ultimate – 2.6
Legend – 2.1
World Class – 1.6
Professional – 1.0
Semi-Pro – 0.7
Amateur – 0.6
Beginner – 0.5
Match Completion: Depends on the team you are playing against. It is based on their chemistry and team rating.
Game Result: A win gives 200 points, a loss gives 50 points.
Skill Bonus: For good performances on the pitch, you receive additional points, while poor performances result in point deductions. In this table, you can see all the factors that determine the Skill Bonus (the sum of all factors):
For each goal, you receive +40 points. However, since you can earn a maximum of 200 points with goals, scoring 5 goals per match is sufficient. Additional goals will not yield extra benefits. Goals conceded, fouls, cards, and offsides will deduct points.
Goal Bonus: Depending on the difficulty level, you receive additional points for goals:
So always try to score 5 goals per match!
Good luck!
