EA Sports has revealed all info about the FIFA 19 demo. Here you will find everything you need to know: release date, teams, game modes for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

The demo is coming: This week it is happening – all FIFA fans will have the chance to play FIFA 19 in advance and test the new gameplay.
EA Sports has now released an infographic about the demo, which shows all the important information from the test version:
Release date and time of the FIFA 19 demo
Date of the demo launch: It starts on September 13, 2018. That’s a Thursday.
At what time does it start? The time is not specified by EA Sports. It is expected to be around 7 PM – as it was in previous years.
Game modes of the demo
You can test these modes:
- The Journey Champions: This is the third and final part of the story mode of FIFA. In the demo, you will likely play a match and experience some cutscenes from The Journey 3. You can read everything that happened in The Journey so far here.
- Champions League: In the demo, you can play the biggest innovation of FIFA 19, the Champions League. Probably through the new kickoff mode that includes Champions League matches.
Teams of the demo
There are 10 playable teams in the demo, including two German teams:
- Juventus Turin
- Real Madrid
- Manchester United
- Manchester City
- Bayern Munich
- PSG
- Atletico Madrid
- BVB
- AS Roma
- Tottenham Hotspur

EA Sports does not reveal which stadiums are available in the demo. The official stadium list in FIFA 19 is already known.
Download for PS4, Xbox One, and PC – Switch not mentioned
According to the infographic, these are the platforms on which the demo will be available:
- PS4 – Download the demo from the PlayStation Store starting September 13
- Xbox One – Download the demo from the Xbox Store starting September 13
- PC – You can download and install the demo via Origin starting September 13
According to the official infographic, there will not be a demo for the Switch. The last-gen consoles PS3 and Xbox 360 will also go empty-handed.
What can you look forward to in the demo? The biggest innovations of FIFA 19
The biggest FIFA 19 innovations that you can already try out in the demo are:
- the Champions League. Play a few matches and experience CL atmosphere
- Gameplay innovations such as the new shooting system, the active touch system, and the 50/50 battles. These features are intended to give you more control on the field and make players instinctively go for the ball and into tackles.
- New celebrations and new skill moves that you can practice right away
- Improved graphics
More innovations, such as many new licenses or the FUT changes, can only be experienced on September 28 when FIFA 19 officially releases. However, there are also ways to play FIFA 19 before release.
