The FIFA 18 Web App is coming: When is the release of the Ultimate Team app? When will the Web App be released? When does it start? What features and functions will the Web App have?
It is simply part of the experience for many FUT players: The Web App for the “Ultimate Team” mode. With it, you can manage your Ultimate Teams even when you are not at the console.
Soon, the Web App will be updated and made suitable for “FIFA 18”. Here’s all the information.
FUT 18 – Start of the Web App – Release Date
The final release date is now confirmed, as reported by fifauteam:
- The Web App for FIFA 18 will start on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 – Update: The app is live!
- The Companion App should be available the following day, on September 21.
In FIFA 17, the Web App went live on September 20 – exactly one week before the main game’s release. September 20, 2017 is also just under a week before the Early Access for FIFA 18.
The Web App is expected to be taken offline on September 15, 2017, so that EA Sports can perform maintenance and prepare the app for FIFA 18.
Transfer Market, SBCs, and more – Features of the FIFA 18 Web App
What you can do in the new Web App is already known. These are the main features:
- Transfer Market: Search, buy, and sell players
- Manage and build your team
- Buy and open Packs
- View the TOTW (Team of the Week)
- Inspect all cards, leaderboards, and other stats
- Complete objectives – The objectives are a new feature in FUT 18
- Master and submit Squad Building Challenges
Early Access and Rewards for “FIFA 17” Players / Veteran Rewards
Note that not all players will receive Early Access to the Web App. You must have created and answered a security question in the Web App before August 1 to access the new Web App before the launch of FIFA 18.
Otherwise, you will only gain access once you log into FIFA 18, create your club in FUT 18, and answer a security question. With this security question, you can then access the Web App.
That means that only “returning FUT players” can access the Web App a few days before the launch of FIFA 18. These veterans can look forward to some rewards:
- “Welcome Back” sets for players who were already active in FUT 17
- Daily gifts: If you log into the app daily, you will receive rewards. These gifts should last into October.
- There is also a Starter Pack with which you can build your club.
