The best Bundesliga players for your Ultimate Team in FIFA 18 are shown in this guide. Which good Bundesliga forwards, midfielders, defenders, goalkeepers, and German players from abroad are there in FUT 18?
Countless FIFA fans are already planning their new Ultimate Team in FIFA 18 and are racking their brains about which players they definitely want to field. Should it be a pure Bundesliga team? Am I trying a different league this year? Am I focusing on a specific nation?
Because in FUT 18, you should not combine players in your team randomly. You also have to pay attention to chemistry, for which matching leagues or nations are crucial. With low chemistry, your players perform worse.
If you want to create a strong Bundesliga Ultimate Team, you’ll find here the best players that you can field in various positions. We also indicate German players from abroad, if there are good alternatives. And we will give tips for an affordable starter team along the way!
FUT 18 – The best players for the ultimate Bundesliga Ultimate Team
The best forwards in Bundesliga – ST, MS
The most beautiful plays won’t help you if your players can’t get the ball into the net. You need at least one top striker with a scoring mentality. These are the best forwards in the Bundesliga:
- Robert Lewandowski from FC Bayern Munich has the best shooting stats among all Bundesliga forwards. His dribbling and physicality are also strong. He is an all-round top striker and with a rating of 91, the best striker in the Bundesliga.
- Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang: With an overall rating of 88, the second-best striker in the Bundesliga. The BVB star has the highest pace of all players in FIFA 18 and also shows high shooting stats.
- Thomas Müller from FC Bayern comes in third. He has an overall rating of 86 and consistently solid stats.
Here you see all attributes of these three players (from left to right: Pace, Shooting, Passing, Dribbling, Defense, Physicality):
The next places are far behind. With an overall rating of 82, Timo Werner (RB Leipzig), who has high pace stats, or Mario Gomez (Wolfsburg), also 82 overall, who is strong in heading. As a good overall package, Max Kruse (Werder Bremen, 82) is also recommended. Volland (Leverkusen) with an overall rating of 80 is suitable as a starter. He has good stats in pace and dribbling. However, you can also get Kruse or Gomez quite cheaply.
The best central midfielders in the Bundesliga – ZOM, ZM, ZDM
Deploy these players in central midfield:
- Thiago (FC Bayern) has the best overall rating of all Bundesliga midfielders at 88. His dribbling and passing stats are outstanding.
- Arturo Vidal (FC Bayern) is also strong with an overall rating of 87. He impresses with high stats across the board above 80.
- James Rodriguez (FC Bayern) has an overall rating of 86 and shows top stats in shooting, passing, and dribbling.

In the Bundesliga, following closely are Naby Keita, Emil Forsberg (both Leipzig), and Shinji Kagawa (BVB), each with 83 overall. Fin Bartels from Werder Bremen (78) is offered as a cheap and fast player to start. Mario Götze (81) from BVB is also relatively inexpensive to get and stands out with good dribbling and passing ability.
It is also worth taking a look at the German players abroad:
- Toni Kroos (Real Madrid) has an outstanding rating of 90. However, a big disadvantage is his low pace of 50.
- Mesut Özil (Arsenal) is also strong with 88
- and Ilkay Gündogan (Manchester City) impresses with 85 overall and high dribbling stats.

The best left wingers in the Bundesliga – LF, LM
With these players, the left wing is optimally occupied:
- Franck Ribery (FC Bayern) may not be the fastest anymore, but he has a high overall rating of 86 and outstanding dribbling stats.
- Marco Reus (BVB) also has an overall rating of 86 and top stats for an offensive force. Pace, shooting, passing, and dribbling are top-notch.
- In third place is the Inform card of Maximilian Philipp (BVB). The Inform card is the TOTW card – from the Team of the Week 1.

Bruma (81) from Leipzig offers you high pace with 93 on the wing and is not that expensive in his normal version. Even cheaper to get is Serge Gnabry (79), who is also fast with a pace stat of 90 and is well-suited for a starter team.
The abroad has a lot to offer as well. The following players can even be relatively affordable:
- Leroy Sané (Manchester City) is even faster with a pace of 94. He has an overall rating of 82.
- Julian Draxler (PSG) is also a good alternative with an overall rating of 82.

The best right wingers in the Bundesliga – RF, RM
You also need top players on the right side:
- Arjen Robben (FC Bayern) has by far the best card of all RMs in the Bundesliga (88). He is fast, strong in dribbling, and has a good shot.
- Karim Bellarabi (Leverkusen) follows with 82. He is characterized by high pace.
- Andriy Yarmolenko (BVB) is in third place with a rating of 81.

If you’re looking for cheaper alternatives with high pace stats over 90, there’s Pulisic (78 overall, 91 pace, BVB) and Coman (79 overall, 92 pace, FC Bayern).
The best left backs in the Bundesliga – LV
Take one of these players as a left back:
- David Alaba (FC Bayern) is the outstanding left back in the Bundesliga with a rating of 86. He is fast and has overall good stats.
- Marcel Schmelzer (BVB) has an overall rating of 80, placing him second.
- Bernat (FC Bayern) secures third place with 79.

Alaba will be extremely expensive, but there are no really good alternatives. If you’re looking for cheap left backs that are fast, you can take Wendell (77 overall, 86 pace, Leverkusen) or Brosinski (76 overall, 85 pace, Mainz).
The best right backs in the Bundesliga – RV
These are your options on the right side:
- Joshua Kimmich (FC Bayern) has an Inform card with a rating of 84, which is currently the best RB card in the Bundesliga. He has extremely high passing stats.
- Lukasz Piszczek (BVB) is in second place with 83 overall.
- The standard card of Kimmich has 81 overall.
- Coke (Schalke 04) follows with 80.

There are no really fast left backs of gold quality in the Bundesliga. The fastest are Toljan (75 overall, 84 pace, BVB) and Weiser (78 overall, 84 pace, Hertha)
The best center backs in the Bundesliga – IV
In the center backs, you have a top selection:
- Jerome Boateng (FC Bayern) has a rating of 88 and impresses with high pace and strong physicality.
- Mats Hummels (FC Bayern) also has 88 overall. He is slower and has lower physicality than Boateng, but his other attributes are better.
- The third place is shared by Javi Martinez (FC Bayern) and Sokratis (BVB).

Further strong center backs include Süle (83, FC Bayern) and Toprak (83, BVB). Tah (82, Leverkusen) is recommended as a starter and is relatively fast for a central center back with a pace stat of 72.
However, you can also use Mustafi as a strong and fast center back. The German center back from Arsenal already has an Inform card:
The best goalkeepers in the Bundesliga – TW
Put these players in goal:
- Manuel Neuer (FC Bayern) is the best goalkeeper in FIFA 18, with overall top stats. His rating is 92. However, he will be correspondingly expensive.
- In the Bundesliga, Bernd Leno (Leverkusen), a cheaper “Neuer substitute”, is in second place. He has 85 overall.
- A glance at the Spanish league shows that Marc-André ter Stegen (FC Barcelona) has strong 85 stats.

Otherwise, there are several goalkeepers in the Bundesliga with 84: Ralf Fährmann (Schalke 04), Roman Bürki (BVB) and Timo Horn (Cologne).
