In FIFA 18 Ultimate Team, the TOTY, the Team of the Year 2017, is approaching. Which players will make it into the Team of the Year? When will the best cards be released in FUT 18? All information about the release date, the voting, the TOTY player cards, and the nominations and predictions can be found here at a glance.

At the beginning of January 2018, the Team of the Year 2017 is expected in the Ultimate Team mode of FIFA 18. Since FUT 12, EA Sports has been creating the TOTY annually, consisting of only the 11 best players of the past year.
The players in the TOTY have so far been voted by FIFPro and announced during the “Best FIFA Football Awards” gala. EA Sports then published special dark blue player cards for these players. However, this year a separate “EA Sports TOTY” will be chosen and released. It will be voted on by community representatives (60%) and by EA Sports (40%).

FIFA 18 TOTY Release Date – When will the Team of the Year be released in FUT 18?
In previous years, the Team of the Year was always released in mid-January. Thus, the TOTY in FIFA 17 was gradually released between January 9 (Monday) and January 16.
- This year the TOTY will be voted on starting January 8 and released beginning January 15, 2018. This information is now official.
Presumably, not all TOTY cards will be available in packs at the same time this year. They will likely be made available gradually. On January 15, the TOTY strikers will probably be available first, on January 17 the TOTY midfielders could be in the packs, and on January 18 the TOTY defenders and goalkeeper. From January 19, the full Team of the Year is expected to be available in sets until January 22. These details are yet to be confirmed.
The TOTY Players – These players receive the best cards in Ultimate Team
The players will only be released starting January 15. We will update the article then (see above).
It was initially assumed that the FIFA Pro World XI would also be the TOTY in FUT 18. This is the FIFA Pro team (it is not the TOTY in FUT 18!):
