On April 27, the “Team of the Season” event started in FUT 18. It began with the Most-Consistent-Team and the EFL-TDS and the TOTS of the Premier League.
Every week a new TOTS is released, with the cards available in sets for one week. The release of the La Liga TDS is on May 11.

What is the “Team of the Season” actually?
The “Team of the Season” (TDS) – or better known as “Team of the Season” (TOTS) – is for most FIFA gamers the biggest event in Ultimate Team. Many players receive a heavily upgraded, blue special card during this time.
Over 200 player cards will likely receive a TOTS version in FUT 18. The reason is that many teams are released, all containing 23 players – for the “Team of the Year” (TOTY) there is only a single 11-man selection.
The rating of players usually increases by 5 to 9 points – for the top stars of the big leagues, ratings can indeed reach the high 90s. The basis for selection is the performance in the 2017/2018 season – for the TOTY, however, the entire calendar year 2017 was taken into account for evaluation.
Otherwise, TOTS cards behave like Informs: If you don’t want to wait until you draw a card from sets, you can purchase them on the transfer market. The normal gold versions of the players are not available to draw during this time.
