Many players are waiting for the Scream Boost in FIFA 18 FUT. When will the cards in the Scream Team receive these upgrades?
Since October 20th, the “Ultimate Scream” event has been running in FIFA 18’s Ultimate Team mode. This is the annual Halloween event that EA Sports has been hosting for a few years now.
During the event, unique player cards will be released that receive extreme boosts to their stats during certain phases of the season. This Scream Team can only be obtained from October 20th to October 29th at 7 PM in packs. After that, you can only acquire the Scream cards on the transfer market.
But: When will the Scream cards receive their boosts? When will the players become true “monsters”?
FUT 18 Ultimate Scream – Date and Time for the First Boost
According to EA Sports, the first “terrifying boost” will occur around Halloween:
- From October 29th (7 PM winter time) to November 1st (also 7 PM) the first boost will take place.
However, this is not the only boost phase during the FUT 18 season. EA Sports states that there will be more phases. These will be announced in time.

After the boost phases, the Halloween cards will return to their normal form, to the cards with the minor upgrades.
More information about these cards:
- If you already have standard cards of these players in your team, nothing will happen to them. So if you want a Halloween card, you must draw it from the packs or purchase it on the transfer market.
- You can use these Scream players in FUT Champions and in the Weekend League.
- You can sell these cards on the transfer market at any time – even when they have their boosts. Buyers should be aware that these boosts will decline again.
