In FIFA 18 Ultimate Team, the ratings refresh is coming up. You can now choose the players you think deserve a winter upgrade.
The standard player cards in FUT 18 have remained unchanged since launch. While new special cards have been added in recent months, the standard cards (Gold, Silver, Bronze) are still the same.
That will soon change: The ratings refresh will provide numerous players with new standard cards.
Until FIFA 16, there were only “winter upgrades” in the winter, but since FIFA 17 this event is called “ratings refresh”, where downgrades are also possible. EA Sports has now announced that the ratings refresh in FUT 18 is imminent and that you can help decide which players should receive better standard cards.
Which player deserves an upgrade?
Players who have shown consistently strong performances on the pitch in recent months should receive an upgrade. Generally, Gold cards are upgraded by 1-2 points in rating. Silver and Bronze players receive upgrades of about 4 points. In rare cases, improvements for Bronze players can reach up to 15 points.

If you believe, for example, that Joshua Kimmich definitely deserves an upgrade, enter his first name in the first field and his last name in the second field. You also need to propose a new, higher overall rating. Kimmich currently has a standard card with an 81 rating. Suggest a new value of, for example, 83.
Finally, you can decide on the form whether your player should also receive an upgrade for the weak foot or special move rating.
