The “Ultimate Team” mode in FIFA 18 is getting more colorful: EA Sports released on October 11 5 purple hero cards that you can now pull in packs or buy on the transfer market.
These hero cards were released simultaneously with the TOTW 4 in FUT 18.
Last week there was a break in league operations, allowing national teams to play qualifying matches for the upcoming World Cup. Some players who stood out with strong performances are represented in this week’s Team of the Week. But 5 players who particularly shined this week will now be rewarded with national hero cards.
Like Lionel Messi, who is being referred to as the “Savior” in the media these days, as he scored three goals against Ecuador to lead Argentina to the World Cup in Russia, thus averting a historic debacle.
National Hero Cards in FUT 18
The hero cards are special cards with upgraded attributes. You can pull them for one week, until October 18, in the sets. After that, they can only be purchased via the transfer market.
These are the cards: RM – Salah – Liverpool – 83 -> 85
ZOM – Sigurðsson – Everton – 82 -> 84
IV – Waston – Vancouver Whitecaps FC – 74 -> 80
RF – Messi – FC Barcelona – 93 -> 94
IV – Torres – Seattle Sounders FC – 71 -> 78
EA Sports also announces that these hero cards will affect the OTW cards. Thus, Salah and Sigurðsson will now receive better OTW cards. Every player holding such a card can rejoice.
For those who don’t know: OTW cards are the “Ones to Watch” cards. These could be pulled from the sets in the past few days. The special thing about them is: they are automatically upgraded if the respective player receives a special card – like a TOTW card or a hero card.
