In FIFA 18 there are news about the career mode – these are all the innovations and changes! With interactive transfer negotiations on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
EA Sports revealed the most important innovations for the career mode in FIFA 18. This mode benefits on PS4, Xbox One, and PC from the Frostbite engine, which enables a “deeper and more realistic” gaming experience in the career.
The Career in FIFA 18 – What’s new, what changes! – Online mode is still missing
EA Sports always refers to PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Therefore, the following features will likely only be available on these platforms.
Interactive transfer negotiations in career mode
The entire process of transfer negotiations has been revised in FIFA 18. Now it is more immersive, you interact directly with managers and players to negotiate contracts.
All negotiations take place through a new “Transfer Hub.” There you can either start negotiations yourself or let an assistant handle the work.
If you want to conduct the negotiations yourself, here’s how:
Open the Transfer Hub and select the player you want to buy.
Now you meet the manager or a representative of the club the player is from, in your office.
With a “decision wheel” you can propose an offer and add optional conditions such as a buyout clause.
Now the dialogue with the manager begins. He will either accept, reject or make another offer. These managers have artificial intelligence and can respond dynamically and diversely to get the best deal for their club.
Once you have reached an agreement on the transfer price, you can directly negotiate with the player and his agent. This involves not only his salary and contract length but also his future role in the team or bonus payments. The player wants – of course – to get the best deal for himself.
During the career, there will be some new clips, short videos that showcase important events in career mode, such as transfers. There will also be inserts for press conferences.
“Player of the Month” awards or other titles will also be recognized with short clips.
New training in the career of FIFA 18
There are over 15 new skill games in FIFA 18, providing more options to train the team and develop the players. You can foster certain attributes in young players or create training plans to bring injured players back onto the pitch.
Quick Subs
This means you can plan substitutions during a match without having to pause the game. Even before the match, you can specify in team management who can replace whom.
An online mode in the career is still missing. This has been demanded by the community for a long time. Nevertheless, there are interesting innovations in FIFA 18.
