The icons will be more significant in FUT 18 than ever before. Because there is not only an Icons Edition for FIFA 18, but for the first time, the “Legends,” as the icons were previously called, are no longer Xbox-exclusive. This means that the icons are now available on all platforms (PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Switch).
With the Icon cards, EA Sports brings back famous star footballers to the virtual pitch, who have shown outstanding performances in the past and left lasting impressions on the world football stage. Meanwhile, these players are no longer active as professionals.
Of each icon, there are three cards with different ratings and values in FUT 18, reflecting various phases in the careers of the former professionals. The three Icon cards of the same player have their own images and can also have different positions. This innovation is called “FUT ICONS Stories.”

Two card versions of the icons will be available directly at the launch of FIFA 18 in packs. The third versions will be released at specific times during the season. This is the “Prime ICON Version”, which is the best icon version that you can obtain through SBCs and time-limited packs.
