In FIFA 18 Ultimate Team, the TOTY (Team of the Year) will be released today, on January 15th. Here are the three strikers who are in the Team of the Year!
Today is the day: The “EA Sports Team of the Year” in FUT 18 will be officially revealed. At least the first three players!
Last week, EA Sports surprised everyone by announcing that the TOTY in FUT 18 will be voted for by community representatives for the first time. In the past, the world team chosen by FIFPro was always selected as the TOTY in Ultimate Team.
In the meantime, the votes have been cast, and the election is over.
- At around 7 PM today, January 15, 2018, the first three players from the TOTY will be available in packs. They are the three strikers:
- Cristiano Ronaldo – 99 Rating (the best card in FUT 18!)
- Lionel Messi – 98 Rating
- Harry Kane – 96 Rating
These three players will be available from 7 PM for 24 hours in the packs. It is expected that after this, the midfielders will be released and then the defenders + goalkeeper. We assume that the entire TOTY will be in the packs afterward – at least that was the case in previous years.

Community Vote – Predictions for the Team of the Year in FUT 18
Here is a look at predictions for the other possible TOTY cards. The large fifauteam community voted enthusiastically last week, so these candidates may also end up in the official TOTY:
Goalkeepers:
- David de Gea, Manchester United (overwhelming majority with 60% of the votes). Buffon follows with 30%.
Defenders:
- Sergio Ramos, Real Madrid (18.3%)
- Marcelo, Real Madrid (11%)
- Leonardo Bonucci, Juventus Turin / AC Milan (8.6%)
- Antonio Valencia, Manchester United (8.2%)
Midfielders:
- Kevin De Bruyne, Manchester City (19.9%)
- N’Golo Kanté, Chelsea (16.6%)
- Luka Modric, Real Madrid (15.1%)
Forwards:
- Lionel Messi, FC Barcelona (23.4%)
- Cristiano Ronaldo, Real Madrid (22.8%)
- Neymar, Barcelona / PSG (13.9%) – Neymar did not make it into the official TOTY, but Kane did. He received 9% of the votes and came in 4th place.
Keep in mind that these are just predictions.
How do I get TOTY cards?
Once the TOTY players are available, you can pull them from the packs for a limited time, provided you have a lot of luck. There will likely be special pack offers during this period. Afterward, it will only be possible to buy TOTY players on the transfer market, where they will command high prices.
It applies:
- Once the TOTY cards are in the packs, the standard cards of the respective players can no longer be pulled from the packs.
- A set must contain rare gold players to have a chance at a TOTY player.
- If you own a standard card of a TOTY player, nothing will happen to that card. If you want a TOTY player, you must pull them from packs or buy them on the transfer market.
- The chances of pulling a TOTY player are exactly the same as the chances of pulling the standard card of the corresponding player at another time.
