FIFA 18 – Launch of the Companion App – Release Date – When does the app come out?
According to fifauteam, this is the official release date:
- Companion App Release: September 21 (Thursday)
- One day earlier, on September 20, the web app – the FUT app for desktops will launch
On September 15, the FUT app of FIFA 17 will be taken offline to allow EA Sports to perform maintenance and prepare the app for FIFA 18.

These are the main features that are already known:
- Transfer Market: Search, buy, and sell players
- Manage and build your team
- Buy and open packs
- View the TOTW (Team of the Week)
- Plan a team with concept squads
- Complete objectives – The objectives are a new feature in FUT 18
- Master and submit squad building challenges
Early Access and rewards for FIFA 17 players
The release time reference pertains to Early Access. Keep in mind that not all players will receive early access to the companion app. You must have created and answered a security question for your account before August 1 to gain access to the new companion app before the launch of FIFA 18. Additionally, your FUT 17 account must still exist. If the account has been banned, there is no early access.
You will receive rewards for returning to FUT 18. The rewards depend on several factors, including how active you were in FIFA 17. Additionally, there will be daily gifts in the days following the launch.
