If you want to build an Ultimate Team in FIFA 18, there are several things to keep in mind: Especially at the beginning, players should be inexpensive, yet they need to have high team chemistry and preferably high ratings. Getting all this together is not easy.
Proceed with building your team as follows:
- Think ahead about which formation you want to play. Our formation guide can help you with this. If you change your formation during team building, you might have to buy new players or spend additional coins on consumables to change the positions.
- Focus on one league or nation. This guarantees you high chemistry values. Chemistry is critical for the players’ performance on the field.
- When choosing your first players, do not focus too much on the overall rating. Instead, look at the individual attributes of the players. For example, there are many silver players with excellent pace or physical values. These are usually quite cheap but still beneficial.
- Avoid TOTW players, that is, special cards completely at the beginning. They are always expensive and there are significantly cheaper alternatives.
- To find bargains on the transfer market, you should monitor the transfer market for a longer time and not jump at the first offer. You get a good impression of the “true price” of a player by finding the cheapest instant purchase price. Do not pay more! More on this in our trading tips.

Buy cheap, good players from the Bundesliga in FUT 18
If you definitely want to create a Bundesliga team, you should not directly eye a Lewandowski or Aubameyang. These cost several hundred thousand coins. Instead, buy these cheap alternatives for each (partly significantly) under 2000 coins.
