The Progress of Players
In FIFA 17, the way your players develop and improve is completely overhauled. The new system is based on the overall ratings of a match, so you need to focus on teamwork and cooperation as a team.
This aims to model real-world football as authentically as possible, in which teamwork is also the most important aspect.
Match Rating
After each completed match, you will receive a match rating. Depending on your position, certain aspects of your player level up faster. For example, a striker’s shot power improves faster than their defensive abilities.
You can always monitor your progress. After each match, you can see how your individual attributes have improved – depending on your match rating.
Attributes
Additionally, you can choose from a variety of new attributes with which you can customize your players and which influence the development of the player.
You can use “Skill Points” earned in-game to equip certain attributes. These relate to physicality, defending, dribbling, passing, shooting, and goalkeeper skills.
Each attribute costs a different number of “Skill Points.” You earn these by playing League or Cup matches.
Customization
In FIFA 17, you can create your own jerseys and crests for the first time.
For the jerseys, there are 24 templates that you can customize to give your club the necessary personality. You can choose primary, secondary, and tertiary colors to create a unique jersey.
Additionally, you have a large selection for custom crests. Here, you first choose the shape and then the color.
