In FIFA 17, the Player of the Month is determined every month in the “Ultimate Team” mode. We summarize the information.

Every month, EA Sports selects some players from the Premier League who have shown outstanding performances in the recent past. The community then votes for their favorites. The winner receives a purple “FIFA 17 FUT” POTM card, which is a “Player of the Month” card in FUT 17. It has the following design:
The “Player of the Month” card has better attributes than the standard card of the respective player. Therefore, it is highly sought after by fans, as it can enhance many Ultimate Teams.
So far, the release of a fresh POTM card has always been accompanied by a new Squad-Building Challenge. If you meet various requirements, you can earn the special card as a reward.
Who will be the Player of the Month for October 2016?
In the still young history of FIFA 17, two Players of the Month have been crowned so far:
- The Player of the Month for August was Raheem Sterling from Manchester City.
- The Player of the Month for September was Son Heung-min from Tottenham Hotspur.
The voting always takes place at the beginning of the following month. For example, Son was voted from October 4th to October 10th.
The winner of the “Player of the Month” election for October is not yet determined at this stage. The voting took place from November 4th to November 7th. The nominated players are:
- Tom Heaton (Burnley)
- Joe Allen (Stoke City)
- N’Golo Kante (Chelsea)
- Eden Hazard (Chelsea)
- Ilkay Gündogan (Manchester City)
- Diego Costa (Chelsea)
- Philippe Coutinho (Liverpool)

By the way: Players of the Month always come from the Premier League. We are still waiting in vain for a “Player of the Month” from the Bundesliga in FIFA 17.
