In FIFA 16: Ultimate Team, players who transfer clubs in the real football world are also transferred by EA Sports to the new club. Last-minute transfers are also considered.
On Monday, the first day of February, the winter transfer window in Germany closed at 6 PM. No players are allowed to transfer to the 1st or 2nd Bundesliga until summer. In the football industry, it is quite popular to make some last-minute transfers to significantly strengthen the team. A prime example was Serdar Tasci, who is now lacing up his boots for Bayern. Also, Drmić is allowed to kick for his new club on the virtual pitch.
EA Sports aims to respond to the current events in the football world with FIFA 16, to keep their football simulation up to date. The last winter transfers possible for the Bundesliga have been integrated into the game today.
Lastly, on January 29, the virtual transfer market was updated; for example, the defender Andrea Ranocchia to Sampdoria.
In some countries, the transfer window is still open longer, such as in Portugal (February 4), Switzerland (February 15), Russia (February 26), or Brazil (April 20). EA Sports will therefore still be busy for a while until all transfers are complete.
The players who are assigned to their new club as part of the winter transfers retain the same attributes as they had in their previous club. It is only during the upgrades that players can be enhanced.
