The football simulation FIFA 16 is now available for download – for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
In recent weeks, the football simulation from EA Sports has made negative headlines: Apparently, a severe glitch has been affecting the “Ultimate Team” mode for years, which influences the chemistry of numerous top cards – meaning that they are sometimes worse than the standard cards.
The community made this discovery thanks to a skill move that is unlocked only at certain attribute values. All information about the fatal FUT glitch in FIFA 16 can be read here.
While this news spread rapidly across the internet, there were always opinions like “These are just rumors, it’s all not official”. However, EA Sports promptly announced investigations which revealed: Yes, there are indeed inconsistencies in the chemistry and fitness values of some items. However, the exact extent was not specified.
Update 1.07 addresses the FUT glitch
As EA Sports now announces, a patch for PS4, Xbox One, and PC is now available to address this problem. This is Update 1.07, which is approximately 400 MB in size depending on the platform.
The update for PS3 and Xbox 360 will follow at a later date.
Furthermore, the community manager Rob states that for FIFA 17, they want to present the mechanics of the “Ultimate Team” mode more transparently. This has been demanded by the community for years. How the values are calculated and, above all, what influence the chemistry actually has remains fundamentally a secret of the developers.
This glitch, which is said to affect all cards not present in the game from the beginning (i.e., all TOTW, TOTS, TOTY, etc.), has been speculated about for years. However, the community was previously unable to prove these allegations in any way. Only in FIFA 16 have some clever users managed to do this.
What will FIFA 17 be like? We played FIFA 17, here is our first impression.
