However, in the Ultimate Team mode, there is a quick disillusionment: There is no card of him there. Even in Career Mode, he initially had very poor stats – but EA Sports has responded to the tremendous success of Marcus Rashford.
Marcus Rashford – From Unknown to Mega-Talent in FIFA 16
When Marcus Rashford shook the football world a few weeks ago and FIFA fans immediately looked for him in the football simulation, the striker only had an overall rating of 59. Moreover, he didn’t even have a face as a profile picture in FIFA 16 – an unknown nobody with poor stats. Already at the beginning of March, fans demanded an increase in the attributes of this English talent, and EA Sports responded promptly: Rashford was upgraded to an overall strength of 65. But even then, his wave of success was not yet over.
Recently, the 18-year-old has also shown excellent performances, so he now boasts a base strength of 69 in FIFA 16’s Career Mode. In the Kick-Off Mode, he is currently considered “in form”, with an overall rating of 71! Thus, the mega-talent Marcus Rashford has been upgraded by 12 points in no time! Especially his pace attributes are now to be showcased: The fruits of his strong performances are being reaped not only on the virtual field, but now in the real football world, he is also seeing a significant increase in his salary and much more international recognition. Allegedly, he is already on the radar of rapper Jay Z, who would like to see him in his sports management company “Roc Nation Sports”, which already represents Bayern’s Jerome Boateng.
