In FIFA 16 Ultimate Team, the players from Leicester City are currently available in TOTS or as FUT Heroes.
Since yesterday, the championship trophy for FC Bayern Munich is confirmed. While this title was not a big surprise for most soccer fans, a team in England turned the soccer world upside down: Leicester City won the championship in the Barclays Premier League a few days ago – after an extraordinary season in which they caused a stir.
Leicester City players receive Hero cards in FIFA 16
In the Team of the Season of the BPL EA Sports rewarded six of these champion players with special upgraded cards, which can be obtained this week in sets.
Now EA also honors the entire team performance of Leicester City and has created hero cards for those players who are not in the TOTS. These will be available in packs until Monday at 7 PM.
As EA Sports states, no one could have expected such a dream season from Leicester City at the launch of FIFA 16. However, players of the fresh BPL champions were not only rewarded at the end of the season in FIFA 16: FUT with improved cards; throughout the season, some special in-form cards were assigned to them.
Exemplary examples include the striker Jamie Vardy and RM Riyad Mahrez, who both started the season as silver players. After some in-form cards during the past months, they now received outstanding cards with overall ratings of 93 (Mahrez) and 91 (Vardy) with the TOTS.

Leicester City’s march in numbers in FIFA 16
In the 2014/15 season, Leicester City reached 15th place in the Premier League. A year later, they now greet from the top of the table. On this occasion, EA Sports created a graphic comparing some statistics from FIFA 15 with those from FIFA 16.
- In FIFA 15, 36,265,400 games were played with Leicester City, in FIFA 16 a whopping 133,729,420. This is an increase of 269%!
- Number of players who played with Leicester City: In FIFA 15, there were 3,959,660, in FIFA 16 a respectable 17,207,975. Here, there is even an increase of 335%.
- Number of goals scored with Leicester City: In FIFA 15, there were 6,890,331, in FIFA 16 the ball hit the net 51,728,408 times. Increase of 651%!
- Also in “Support your Club” there were significantly more supporters in FIFA 16 with 266,122 than in FIFA 15 with 82,393. Here was an increase of 223%.
