In a few days, the Bundesliga will start its second half. The Virtual Bundesliga is also running with live events in FIFA 16 .
Football fans are eagerly looking forward to the moment when the ball finally rolls again and they can passionately cheer for their team. This year, you can also show what you can do on the pitch – at least on the virtual field.
EA Sports announced today that the “TAG Heuer Virtual Bundesliga” will kick off with live events in January. The first of a total of twelve events will start on 30.01. in Dresden – and everyone can participate.
How can I participate?

For the live events, you must register online in advance at www.virtuelle-bundesliga.de. If you tend to be spontaneous, there is also the option to compete for the last four starting places on-site in a knockout system.
In each tournament, 64 players compete for victory and a ticket to the big VBL final. This is expected to take place in May or June. Here, the 40 best FIFA 16 players will compete for the official German championship.
Where will the events take place?
So far, only the location and date of the first four events are officially known. They are:
30.01.2016 – Dresden, Media Markt Prager Straße 15
13.02.2016 – Frankfurt am Main, Media Markt Tituscorso 6
20.02.2016 – Bremen, Media Markt AG-Weser-Straße 3
27.02.2016 – Munich, Media Markt Einsteinstraße 130
All events are to be held at branches of the electronics retail chain Media Markt. Further dates will be announced in the coming weeks.

What else do I need to know?
At the live events, FIFA 16 will only be played on the Xbox One.
It is also possible to qualify as one of the top online participants at the end of each month for the final until March 2016. You can prove yourself on Xbox One, but also directly through the game menu on Playstation 4. Additionally, the 18 winners of the club rating will receive a ticket for the final, and three more places will be filled with wildcards.
The winner of the championship will take home a whopping 10,000 euros!
