Since FIFA 12, there has been the Team of the Season in EA Sports’ football simulation mode FUT. As the seasons of the major leagues around the world come to an end, EA Sports creates special teams that reflect and honor the real-life performances of players.
While in the Team of the Year (TOTY) the performances of players over an entire year are considered, the TOTS focuses on the player performances of the current season.
What is the TOTS in FIFA 16?
Essentially, we cannot speak of a single TOTS, as a total of 14 Teams of the Season are created and published. Most of them are assembled by EA themselves, but FIFA fans can vote for the players of the Community Teams.
Each selected footballer receives a new card, which replaces the previous standard card. During the period that the TOTS is available, you will not be able to draw any regular cards of the respective TOTS players from the sets. Your chances of getting a TOTS player during this period are the same as the chances of drawing a regular card of the player at another time.
When are the TOTS available in FIFA 16?
So far, EA has not announced dates for when the TOTS will be released. In recent years, EA has announced a TOTS and then it was already found in the sets two hours later. Therefore, we should not count on an early announcement.
However, EA Sports has always followed a strict schedule, so looking at past years is worthwhile to predict release dates for TOTS for FIFA 16.
