In FIFA 16’s Ultimate Team mode, there are countless cards: In addition to the standard cards of thousands of footballers, there are “in-form” cards, “Team of the Year” cards, “Man of the Match” cards, and numerous other special cards that are highly sought after by FIFA players. This also includes the legends.
What are legends in FIFA 16?
Since FIFA 14, Xbox users have been able to enjoy exclusive legend cards in FUT mode. These cards bring back famous star players to the virtual pitch who have left a remarkable mark in the world of football in the past and are no longer active as professionals.
The selection of legends has not always been undisputed in the past, as many fans wish for their former heroes who are not yet in the game. The accusation: EA would arbitrarily decide who is a “legend” and who is not. You can see which legends are available in FIFA 16 at the end of this article.
The legend cards are marked with a white-gold design and are categorized as “in-form” cards since they are meant to reflect the performances of the respective player at the peak of their career. The overall ratings of the current legends range from 86 to 95 – they are among the best and most sought-after objects in the game.
How do I get legends in FIFA 16: FUT?
In total, there are 66 legend cards in FIFA 16: FUT on Xbox. These have been consistently available in the sets since the launch of the game. You have a chance to get a legend in every pack that can contain Rare Players. There is also the option to purchase legends for many coins on the transfer market.
In Draft mode, only a few legends are available each week. These change every Monday at 19:00.
How is the chemistry of the legends calculated?
Since the legends are not assigned to any club or league, it’s interesting to look at how the chemistry is calculated. To create Ultimate Teams with legends, EA has introduced “legend chemistry”:
Each player has a league match with the FUT legends. As a result, legends have at least one orange connection to all other cards. To build a strong green connection on the pitch, only the nationality needs to match. All legends have a green connection with each other.

Which legends are new in FIFA 16?
In FIFA 16, ten new legends were introduced that were not available in FIFA 15. These include:
