The Stormblood expansion for Final Fantasy 14 not only brings daring Red Mages and honorable Samurai. It also includes new bosses that will truly challenge your skills. One of them is the Primae Susano, who was already beaten live at E3.
Now it is time to pound the Primae boss in the live version of Stormblood.
Final Fantasy XIV – Susano – Primae fight – Not for the immobile
Susano is the first Primae in Stormblood that you get to beat. The fight against him is not overwhelmingly difficult, but you definitely have to be able to move. If you just stand there like a statue, you have no chance.
The fight against Susano is divided into three phases:
- In Phase 1, you need to be especially careful to place Susano’s area damage fields all in one spot. So snuggle up nicely when you get the effect. Also, watch out for the storm clouds that will increase during the fight.
- In Phase 2, Susano tries to crush you with his massive sword. Therefore, the tank must block the blade and the rest of the raid must then attack the sword.
- In Phase 3, it continues as usual, only that Susano has a few additional tricks up his sleeve. He regularly casts “Storm Splitter,” which will quickly take out your tank if it is not healed quickly. Additionally, he sometimes puts players in a kind of shell game and moves them on the battlefield. You then need to quickly take out the right shell and free your comrades.
