In February, Kakao Games announced that Black Desert Online (PC) will soon be enriched with a new companion in Europe. Until now, it was unclear when exactly the fairy would land here in Europe. That has changed.
Kakao Games has announced today that the fairy system will be implemented in the game after the weekly maintenance. Part of the fairy system is the fairy Laila, who assists players with various abilities.
To obtain her, you need to complete a questline, which is repeatable. At the end of the questline, you will receive the fairy with a random power level.
A Fairy with Special Powers
As a companion, the fairy has special abilities:
- Tickling Breath: Increases the duration you can spend underwater before needing air.
- Feather Steps: Increases your carry weight before it slows you down.
- Fairy’s Tears: If you should die, the fairy will automatically revive you. This ability has a cooldown that lasts between 6 and 24 hours.
- Eternal Well: Once the desert debuff affects you, you will automatically drink tea or water.
- Morning Star: The fairy acts as a floating light source, illuminating the dark surroundings.
- Cheer Up: You will automatically heal yourself with a potion from your inventory when HP/WP/MP/SP are low.
A colorful mix of abilities that optimally support you depending on the situation. Abilities also have ranks that indicate the strength of the effect. The higher the rank, the longer your character can breathe underwater, for example, or the shorter the cooldown between repeated use of the revival ability.
Find Rare Items with Laila’s Help!
The maximum level of the fairy is 40, and she can ascend to 4 different ranks. Every 10 levels, Laila also gains another ability, allowing her to support you better.
- Rank 1: The fairy can learn up to 2 abilities of level I
- Rank 2: The fairy can learn up to 3 abilities of level III
- Rank 3: The fairy can learn up to 4 abilities of level IV
- Rank 4: The fairy can learn up to 5 abilities of level V
Fairies start with an ability that increases your luck by 1. As long as Laila accompanies you, you will find better and rarer items. You are no longer reliant on items that increase your luck or luck-boosting underwear.
