If the leaks are accurate, then the eternal rivals Messi and Ronaldo might leave the top 10 of the best cards in Ultimate Team for the first time in 15 years.
How credible are the leaks? The leaks come from well-known leakers like futsheriff and DonkTrading and were shared on X. They show the alleged top 50 of the FC 25 cards.
Nonetheless, the leaks should be taken with caution, as they have not yet been confirmed by EA. The ratings in the finished game could look very different.

Leaks show ratings for Ronaldo and Messi
This is what Messi’s new card could look like: While Ronaldo was already downgraded from a top player to a mid-range striker in EA FC 24, Messi is now expected to face the same fate. Although he had a good season in the MLS, the general sporting standard of the US league and Messi’s performance data cannot compete with his best days in Barcelona.
It’s no wonder that Messi is facing a downgrade. Moreover, the superstar is now already 37 years old, and fans know that EA rarely upgrades aging players and mercilessly slashes their pace.
According to the top 50 leak, Messi could receive an 88-rated card in EA FC 25, which might look something like this:
If this is the final card, then it is by no means bad. However, it is already unusual to see Messi with a rating below 90. This has never happened in FIFA/FC before. Even Messi’s first card in Ultimate Team from FIFA 10 had a rating of 91.
This is what Ronaldo’s new card could look like: Just last year, Cristiano Ronaldo received a notable downgrade from 90 to 86, thus dropping a whopping 4 points in overall rating. According to the leak from FutDonk, this rating is set to repeat in FC 25, and Ronaldo could receive another 86-rated card.
According to the leak, he would not have improved, even though he had a strong season with 35 goals in 31 matches. However, this season was in Saudi Arabia, where the competition and quality are not comparable to the top leagues in Europe.
