In WoW Classic there is currently a kind of “race” to see who will be the first to reach the maximum level of 60. One player is already less than 10 levels away. Others are just behind him.
Who is this madman? The player and streamer JokerdTV has already made up 51 levels since the launch of Classic on the night of August 26 to 27. He is now only 9 levels away from the maximum level (at the time of writing, he is just under 50% for level 52).
Anyone who wants to watch JokerdTV can follow his embedded stream here.

JokerdTV is playing a gnome mage. Mages can level up particularly effectively as they can gather and kill large groups of enemies using slow effects with frost spells like Blizzard or root effects like Frost Nova. We have put together 10 tips for leveling quickly in WoW Classic here for you.
The “World First Race” of WoW Classic
Why do players want to reach level 60 quickly? At level 60, players have access to the hardest dungeons and finally raids of WoW Classic, where they can also acquire the best loot.
Some of the first bosses in the raids are the famous dragon Onyxia and the legendary fire lord Ragnaros in the Molten Core.
WoW Classic has attracted more people than apparently planned at the beginning. So it is hardly surprising that well-known raid guilds like Method are also joining the hype. They are now also trying to achieve the “World First” for Ragnaros.
However, 40 players must reach level 60 and have enough equipment first. The “World First Race” also faces further hurdles.
Here you can follow the race: If you want to follow how JokerdTV and other players are doing, Method itself has already provided a ticker with information about the highest level players.
Additionally, the US site dotesports maintains a leaderboard with the highest characters. Here, Jokerd is still listed at level 50 and his successors are already at levels 48 and 47. It could get close for the champion.
How about you? How far have you progressed with leveling?
WoW Classic not only excites nostalgic fans at the moment. Retail players are also admitting that they are having fun:
