On Steam you can currently secure the popular survival game Starbound for a really low price and embark on a quest for resources, adventures, and monsters as an intergalactic captain.
What kind of game is Starbound? In Starbound, your damaged spaceship strands you somewhere in space. You gather materials for repairs, explore the universe, and create your own story.
The game was released in July 2016 and has around 89,000 players since then (via SteamDB).
In a quote on Steam, Gronkh, one of the biggest German streamers and YouTubers, says: ‘Starbound is a mix of Minecraft, Terraria, and… ah… a mix of everything really.’

What can you do in Starbound? In this 2D adventure, you can settle down and cultivate your land, travel from planet to planet, collect treasures, or dive into dangerous dungeons.
There is much to discover on your journey. From ancient temples to modern metropolises, trees with eyes, and interesting animals. But in terms of building, you can let your creativity run wild, whether it’s a cabin in the woods, a medieval castle, or a space station.
Is there a multiplayer mode? On private or public servers, you have the option to play against each other or cooperatively with one another. You shape the universe according to your ideas and adapt it to your playstyle. Items, planet types, dungeons, and quests can be added.
The game universe is the same as the one on which the player hosting the server plays in single-player mode. All connected players retain their character inventories and spaceships.

Regular patches were released until 2019. The last update added more furniture, items, costumes, weapons, as well as more missions and cutscenes, including a final mission featuring a boss fight. You take on the role of an intergalactic bounty hunter who completes missions to track down wanted criminal gangs and ensure law and order in the universe.
On Steam, there are over 82,000 reviews – 91% of which are positive. Players particularly praise the exploration opportunities in Starbound and the fact that you are never ‘alone’ because you can play with other players and NPCs can also become companions.
