In Fortnite: Battle Royale there are new creative possibilities with the Star-Lord skin along with emotes. Therefore, it was only a matter of time until players recreated the legendary Dance-Off from the finale of Guardians of the Galaxy in the game.
What scene is it about? Those who have seen the film Guardians of the Galaxy surely remember the legendary final scene. There, the villain Ronan is about to win and wants to use an Infinity Stone to wipe out the inhabitants of the planet Xandar.
In battle, Ronan is unbeatable, so Star Lord suddenly starts dancing and challenges Ronan to a Dance-Off. Ronan looks rather bewildered and does not notice that Star Lord’s friends are now aiming a heavy weapon at him, ultimately taking him down.
Fortnite meets Marvel
What have the fans done? Since the launch of the big Endgame Avengers event in Fortnite, there are two Marvel skins in the game. Black Widow and the aforementioned Star Lord. The latter also comes with the cool Dance-Off move as an emote.
It was only a matter of time before fans recreated the scene from Guardians of the Galaxy in the game. The attempt shown here is not the first, but given that they waited for the destruction of Tilted Towers, it is surely the more impressive one. Because, like in the film, the surroundings are devastated and destroyed.
Since only Star Lord is specifically in the game, the parts of Ronan, Gamora, and Drax were taken by other skins. For Ronan, the dark Omega skin is used.
How are the fans reacting: The thread on Reddit about the Dance-Off has over 5,000 upvotes. Fans are thrilled by the timing and production of the video. Only the casting of Ronan with Omega was found unsuitable by many. The Omen skin with its hood would have been a better choice according to many fans.
What other fun dance videos were there? Star Lord’s Dance-Off seems to encourage player creativity. Another player hosted a wild dance session with Star Lord together with Thanos from the Endgame event.
The dancing Titan already caused many laughs on the web during his debut in 2018.
