When Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 releases on October 12, 2018, the popular zombie mode will also be back. A dramatic trailer has now introduced the new zombie map Blood of the Dead in more detail.
What is Blood of the Dead? Blood of the Dead is one of the three new zombie maps from Black Ops 4 that will be available at the launch of the game. Blood of the Dead is a revamped version of the “Mob of the Dead” map. Players may already know this map from Black Ops 2.
The new map in Black Ops 4 offers expanded areas and even entirely new locations. Like the original, Blood of the Dead is once again set in the penitentiary on Alcatraz Island.

What does the trailer show? The map Blood of the Dead continues the storyline of the original characters from previous Call of Duty titles. The trailer features the well-known characters Dempsey, Nikolai, Takeo, and Richtofen, who are collectively known as Primis, struggling against the zombie hordes on Alcatraz Island.
The trailer is quite bloody but also dramatically staged: The song “Where are we going” from the Mob of the Dead map has been chosen as the Easter egg, which likely appeals particularly to CoD veterans.
How is the trailer received by players? The community is reacting very positively to the trailer. Just a few hours after its release, the video has already garnered 486,900 views. The trailer has been positively rated 62,890 times, with only 407 viewers reacting negatively (as of October 11, 2018, 9:50 AM).
The dramatic staging is particularly well received. Many of the players who commented under the video have already played the predecessors and are excited to see how the story of Primis continues.
